The new Chevrolet Tahoe 2017 in many respects remained similar to its predecessor in the GMT900 body, but now it has a different grille and head light visually divided in half. Also, the SUV has become a little bigger, easier and obtained a completely new interior and engine.
The frame structure is retained in the new car, but the model now has an electric power steering and disc brakes. The high-end versions have third-generation adaptive shock Magnetic Ride Control.
The bonnet and boot lid of 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe in the new body is made of aluminum, thereby reducing the weight to 2533 kg against the previous 2583 kg. But the overall length of the model increased from 5131 to 5181 mm (size of the wheelbase remains the same – 2946mm).
The interior of 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe got a major change – completely new front panel, central console, which can be equipped with a 8.0-inch color touchscreen MyLink, as well as other steering wheel and instrument panel.
The rear legroom is now 50 mm longer, while the second and third row seats now form a flat floor when folded. The other interior innovations are: improved noise insulation, central front airbag, debuted in crossover Chevrolet Traverse, and modifications of the entertainment system for rear passengers.
A new 5.3-liter gasoline engine V8 EcoTec3 FlexFuel (L83) transmitting 355 hp and developing a 519 Nm torque is placed under the hood of the 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. The predecessor Vortec had a similar capacity 325 hp and 461 Nm.
